The Rotary Club of Highlands host Buz Dotson welcomed speakers Patricia Hedden (aka “Ms. Pat”), Executive Director of Highlands Community Child Development Center, and Assistant Director, Demitra Passmore at Tuesday’s meeting.
Opening in 2005, the HCCDC provides the only year-long, NC state licensed, five-day week childcare program in Highlands. Earning four out of four stars rating by State of NC , the Center offers high quality childcare and preschool programs for 8-week to 5 year-old children of working parents of the greater Highlands community.
HCCDC hopes to serve not only the 65 children enrolled, but the more than 65 on their waitlist. Tours and volunteers are welcome, as is input and engagement at the State levels to raise awareness and help meet the tremendous need for our community.
