Easter Weekend at The Village Green

The Village Green hosts many community events each year that enhance the lifestyle of the Cashiers area for residents and visitors alike. Easter Weekend features events that celebrate the hope, renewal and joy of the Spring holiday.

At the sound of the horn, The Village Green exploded with motion as kids took off during last year’s Easter Egg Hunt.

The Village Green is excited to bring the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt set for Saturday, March 30 at 11am for children 11 years old and younger.

A more chill egg hunt at The Village Play for younger participants.

This cherished tradition is set to take place on the Gazebo Lawn, Playground Lawn, and inside the Village Playground. Children will be divided into these three separate areas of the park based upon age.

In addition to the egg hunt, the Cashiers Literacy Council will be distributing books to promote literacy among our youth. Plus, don’t miss the chance to capture moments with the Easter Bunny, who will be making a special appearance! Families are encouraged to bring their own baskets and cameras.

Hundreds of eggs are hidden throughout The Village Green and kids are grateful for the efforts of the Easter Bunny.

The Village Green’s annual Easter Egg Hunt is a free community event providing an opportunity for families and friends to come together and create lasting memories.

The annual egg hunt is presented by Landmark Realty Group.

In addition to this event, Cashiers Area Churches bring together Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, March 29 at 4pm and an Easter Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday, March 31 at 7am.

Both events are free, open to the public, and held outdoors at The Village Green Commons.

The Village Green provides a beautiful, free public space, however The Village Green receives no funds from Jackson County, the state of North Carolina, or the Federal Park System.

The Village Green depends solely on contributions to maintain the park, provide an exceptional community building and to continue bringing Cashiers the events and programs we have all come to cherish.
