The Lady Highlanders junior varsity volleyball team hosted Murphy last Monday and lost 2-1.

Highlands Assistant Coach Reese Schmitt said she thought the girls played well.
“The girls played very well, and played as a team,” said Highlands Assistant Coach Reese Schmitt. “We won the first set and lost the second and third sets, but they hustled and fought till the end.”

Schmitt added that she was proud of the way the girls never gave up and wanted to win.
Highlands next takes on Cherokee at home on Sept. 5 beginning at 5 p.m.
