The North Carolina Department of Transportation has closed NC 106 (Dillard Road) due to weather conditions caused by Hurricane Helene.
The road is closed in both directions near Blue Valley Falls Drive.

Dillard Road is expected to reopen as of noon on Sunday, according to the NCDOT’s website.
NC DOT’s website gives an expected reopen date, but that is subject to change as Hurricane Helene approaches.
The impact on traffic is expected to be high.
The closure begins about 5 miles outside of Highlands.
