Highlands Coach Kaitlin Bishop said everyone needs to participate offensively to continue winning.
“Honestly against Rosman we did offensively what I feel like we are going to have to do every game to be successful,” she said. “We had one player with 11 points, one with 10 points, three guys with 8, one guy with 6 and a couple others adding in a few more points. We got everyone involved on the offensive end, executed in the second half around the basket, which pushed us to seal the win.”

She added she can see improvement every time they play and looks forward to this season.
“The trust among the boys is really starting to build and you can see it,” she said. “These boys are going to be a fun group to coach this year because dang they get after it and play hard.”

“That was our first game and as expected things weren’t picture perfect,” said Bishop. “Honestly, we had a lot of really good looks that we just couldn’t finish. We hurt ourselves with turnovers, but the boys played hard.”

Bishop said that regardless of the score, the team doesn’t quit.
“This group of boys could be one of the hardest working group I have ever coached, they never quit,” she said. “Our team goal right now is everyday we leave the gym better than when we walked in, whether its practice or a game and these boys are buying in and I’m excited to see what the season has in store for us.”
