TL&LC expands its Board of Directors with two new members

Board members play a crucial role in the success of any non-profit organization. They provide valuable guidance and support, leveraging their expertise and connections to help the organization achieve its goals.

With the start of the new year, The Literacy & Learning Center is thrilled to welcome two new members to its esteemed Board of Directors: Cal Isaacs and Tracy Wade. Following a rigorous selection process that included careful consideration of their qualifications, TL&LC is confident that these accomplished individuals will make significant contributions to the organization’s mission.

Cal Isaacs, a seasoned Human Resources professional with a diverse background spanning the healthcare, retail, and food service industries, brings a wealth of expertise to the TL&LC Board. His leadership roles at companies like Eckerd Drugs/Rite Aid Pharmacy, GameStop, and Performance Food Group have given him a deep understanding of human resources management, encompassing recruitment, employee relations, and organizational development. Since relocating to Highlands in 2022, Cal has actively engaged with the community, demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact.

Tracy Wade, a recent full-time Highlands resident, brings a unique and valuable blend of skills to the Board. With a degree from Vanderbilt University and a successful career spanning marketing, banking, and the insurance industry, Tracy has held leadership positions at companies like Maxum Specialty Insurance Group and Navigators. Her extensive business experience, combined with her active involvement in community organizations such as the Rotary Club of Highlands and REACH, demonstrates her dedication to improving the lives of others.

Both Cal and Tracy are deeply committed to positively impacting the community. Their expertise and dedication, coupled with their strong ties to the Highlands community, will be invaluable as TL&LC continues to provide essential learning programs to children and adults in Macon County, ensuring a brighter future for all.
