Kids Zone at Hudson Library, every Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m., kicks off the fall after-school season on Thursday, August 30 with Paisley, the READing Paws dog. Children will get to meet Paisley, an Old English Sheepdog, learn about the READing Paws program, and create portraits of Paisley.
The fall Kids Zone line-up is an exciting one. The first Thursday of each month, The Bascom will be at Hudson Library for great programs that combine books and art. The third Thursday of every month will feature READing Paws, a read-to-dogs program that encourages reading by letting kids read to Paisley, a trained therapy dog. The fourth Thursday of each month will continue the Hudson’s popular Lego Club. Other weeks will feature varied programs, most often centered on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) activities such as robotics, 3D printing, and builder kits.
While Kids Zone is open to all, the programs will be best suited for children in 1st through 5th grade.
