Highlands Police Reports 10-5

Sept. 23

  • Highlands Police Department received a report of someone entering a room at noon at Old Edwards Inn and took a ring with a silver band and an oval sapphire and diamonds from a pouch in the room.
  • HPD received a report from a pedestrian at 3:41 p.m. that they were walking east on Spruce Street in oncoming traffic towards North 5th Street. A vehicle was travelling west on Spruce Street. The pedestrian stated as the vehicle drove by it struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian stated that the vehicle was silver in color and was a small passenger car. No one was injured and there was not any damage as result of the collision.

Sept. 29

  • HPD received a call of disorderly conduct at 12:22 a.m. in Old Edwards parking lot on Spring Street. The suspects were allegedly banging on the door of an SUV and yelling.

Oct. 1

  • HPD received a report of a two-vehicle accident at 6:15 a.m. on Church Street at Old Edwards Inn. A person was backing up a golf cart and struck another vehicle. The driver was not in the second vehicle and the driver of the golf cart said the brakes did not work.
