The Breedlove Collective tears it up on stage in Highlands

The Breedlove Collective performed at the Ugly Dog in Highlands, 294 S. 4th Street, on Friday. Lead singer and guitarist Jon Breedlove describes their music as a mixture of folk, blues, funk, classic rock and country. Breedlove said he gets the inspiration for songwriting from where he’s from, the mountains of Western North Carolina.

“I love playing Highlands,” said Breedlove. “It’s always a great crowd, they’re very attentive. The people just dial in and listen to you.”

His mission when performing is simple, to leave the crowd happy and satisfied.

“When I’m up there I just lose myself and forget about everything,” said Breedlove. “Just get up there and bring performing goodness.”
