Highlands Food and Wine Gospel Brunch at a glance

The tent on Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park was full on Nov. 11 at the Gospel Brunch, the final event of Highlands Food and Wine festival. It was a fitting ending to an activity-packed weekend full of wine, craft beer, signature cocktails and a wide-variety of tasty goodies provided by talented vendors.

The Gospel Brunch featured music by soulful-powerhouse Mavis Staples. Guests dined on shrimp and succotash, eggs benedict with brisket, and the traditional breakfast favorites like eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy from chefs from Chattooga Club, Chocolate Heaven, New Mountain Catering, The Warehouse Kitchen and Bar, and Velvet Cup.

All that to be washed down with Champaign, mimosas, and a Bloody Mary bar from beverage partners including Davis Family Winery, Grapevine Distributors, Thomas Fogarty Winery and Torii Mor Winery.
