Highlands JV girls basketball team opens season with loss on the road

Highlands junior varsity girls basketball team lost to Hayesville on Wednesday with a final score of 40-32. Hayesville maintained a consistent lead throughout the game and Highlands pulled within striking distance several times, even being down by 4 with 40 seconds left on the clock, but the Lady Highlanders couldn’t take home the W.

Highlands next plays Franklin at 4 p.m. on Nov. 30 at home.
