Highlands girls varsity basketball team came out ready to play on Friday at home against Nantahala and scored a solid victory in a conference game with a final score of 69-23.
The Lady Highlanders next play at 4 p.m. against Cherokee at home on Jan. 15.

It was a tense moment for Highlands’ bench when Kedra McCall grabbed her own rebound and then went up again for a second shot, scoring the basket and drawing the foul.
