Highlands girls JV basketball team battles for the win against Hayesville

Highlands girls junior varsity basketball team kept up the intensity throughout the game against Hayesville on Wednesday at home and didn’t give up, pulling off the win with a final of 38-35.

Both teams played solid basketball, sticking to the fundamentals and getting the job done. However, it should be noted that Highlands Anne Marie Moore was a force to be reckoned with on offense and defense. Throughout the game she was forcing turnovers, snagging rebounds, and draining basket after basket.

Highlands Anne Marie Moore has her eyes at the other end of the court planning her route to the hoop while wrestling for a loose ball against Hayesville. Highlands won 38-35 at home on Wednesday.
