Blue Ridge Early College holds Homecoming Dance

Students at Blue Ridge Early College had a busy day on Friday. It began in the late afternoon with a pep rally with the entire school to get psyched up for the Homecoming basketball games that evening. Following the games was the dance.

To put into some perspective as to how rushed some students were, after the girls varsity basketball team beat Nantahala, female athletes had the duration of the first half of the boys game to get ready to be presented as members of Homecoming Court at halftime.

The dance began immediately following the boys game.

Editor’s Note: The decorations and lighting in the cafeteria looked fantastic. However, in a dimly lit environment with moving subjects I have to use my camera’s flash, which really destroys the ambiance that the people who decorated had perfected. Please do not let my flash make you think the dance was held in a police interrogation room under hot lights. Pictured below is what the room looked like without using the flash.
