Community turns out for Memorial Day tribute

The flag was raised by Bill Edwards and Bill Reese. “Today, American Legion Post 370 and the Town of Highlands honors not only those whose bodies consecrate our county’s soil, but also those who sleep beyond the seas and in soils of countries where they fell. There have been 1,354,664 American deaths from war. May no soldier go unloved; may no soldier walk alone; may no soldier be forgotten until they all come home.” – Ed McCloskey, Post 370 commander.
