The fun gets real at SummitFest 2019

Families descended upon Summit Charter School for SummitFest 2019 on Saturday and rocked karaoke, inflatables, face painting, cakewalks, all kinds of games, and an appearance by the tooth fairies from Blue Ridge Free Dental Clinic.

SummitFest is an annual fall festival sponsored by the Summit Family Association (SFA) to celebrate the fall season and promote community with our families, students, and the wider community, said Summit Head of School Kurt Pusch.

“We want to extend special thanks to Summit parent and SummitFest Chair Shelley Boswell for her vision, leadership, and service to our school in making this event such a success, and to all of our parent volunteers who supported,” said Pusch. “Building a sense of community here with and among families at Summit continues to be a leading priority for us, and we are grateful for the many parents across our school who help make our school community so strong.”

All proceeds from SummitFest cover the costs of the event and help to fund future community-building events sponsored by SFA.

Pusch added he was thrilled so many families showed up for the outdoor extravaganza.
