Goblins In the Green is a frightfully good time in Cashiers

Costume-clad families packed the Cashiers/Glenville Recreation Center on Friday for the annual Goblins In the Green.

Traditionally held at The Village Green, all the Halloween action was moved indoors to the Rec Center due to inclement weather, but that didn’t dampen the fun.

A number of local businesses and groups set up games and activities for families to dive into, and of course, there was plenty of candy to be had.

“This event is frightfully fun for the whole community,” said The Village Green Executive Director Ann Self.

Local businesses and volunteers set up games and activities throughout the Rec Center for Goblins In the Green.

The VG and Rec Center have collaborated for the past six years to make Goblins In the Green possible, and this year the Boys and Girls Club of the Plateau pitched in. All three groups worked together to organize and underwrite the costs of the event, said Self.
