Blue Ridge girls varsity basketball team firmly defeats Next Charter

Blue Ridge Early College girls varsity basketball team took on Next Charter on Monday at home and won with a final of 79-11.

“I think we did amazing,” said BREC Brenda Martinez. “We were looking for who was open, and making our layups and shots.”

Monday’s win continues the winning streak of the undefeated Lady Bobcats season that stands at 5-0.

“This season is going great,” said Martinez. “Everyone is trying their hardest and we’re really getting it done at practice.”

BREC Gabby Martinez said they played well on Monday they’ve earned their undefeated record.

“We were always looking for the open pass and we did a good job looking out for each other and helped when it was needed,” said Martinez. “This season is what we expected because we work so well as a team.”

BREC next plays at 6 p.m. at home against Nantahala on Dec 10.
