Considering the governor’s continued limitations on outdoor events the Highlands Chamber of Commerce believes it has become necessary to postpone the fireworks scheduled for Labor Day weekend.
We look forward to providing the communities with a fireworks celebration. We will be working with Mayor Taylor and Chief Holland to determine the best day and time. It is with great regret that we postpone the fireworks to a later date, but we believe it is in the best interest of our community’s health and safety.
The Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Visit Highlands, NC encourages you to plan now for celebrating the arrival of a New Year with the sky full of light and heart felt merriment.The pandemic has forced our community to diverge from the usual summer events we look forward to but residents and businesses have come together to plan and participate in “safe” experiences because we care about the wellbeing of everyone in the community.

Coming up November 12-14 our restaurants and wine shops will be providing wine dinners, tastings, and experiences to savor and share with friends.
We may not be able to have our annual Food and Wine event, but we can still share special moments over an exceptional meal and explore new wines. Make plans now to join us and support our local restaurants and wine shops. The Highlands Chamber of Commerce will be sharing the details as we get closer to the dates.
