Fall changes at the Cashiers Community Library

Labor Day has come and gone, there’s a hint of fall in our mornings, and it’s only a matter of time before the leaves start their show.

With Fall, and the new school year, and reopening phase 2.5, there are some changes for the Albert Carlton-Cashiers Community Library to better meet the needs of our community. For starters, there will have more appointments available per appointment slot.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 15

  • Library appointment hours will be
Tuesday – Friday 10 am – 4 pm and Saturday 10 am and 11 am
  • Curbside hours will be
    Tuesday – Friday 10 am – 5 pm and Saturday 10 am – 4 pm

The Library continues to be open by appointment, with more available appointment slots each hour.

Anyone age 12 and over can call to schedule a time to come inside to browse books, use a computer, or use a study room. (Younger children are also welcome, but a parent or guardian must make the appointment.)

Each appointment begins at the top of the hour and are 45 minutes in length, although longer sessions can be allowed for those working or studying at a table or computer.

September is $1 monthly special on books at the Best Little Bookstore. All proceeds benefit the Cashiers Library.

The large meeting room is also available for groups of 20 or fewer people. Masks or other face coverings that cover both the nose and mouth and leave the wearer’s hands free, as well as social distancing, are still required at all times per state requirements.

Wi-Fi is available from the Garden, parking lot, and grounds 24/7 as well as inside during library hours. For more information on the Albert Carlton-Cashiers Community Library click HERE.
