Rotary Club of Highlands’ annual Duck Derby raises over $6K

The Rotary Club of Highlands held it’s annual Duck Derby event on Saturday, Sept. 5, streamed live on the Club’s Facebook page, thanks to Mike Murphy and his team for making this ‘virtual event’ possible given COVID-19 group restrictions.

The event raised approximately $6,200 to help fund the Club’s various charities, including scholarships, teacher stipends, academic, and athletic banquets as well as other local projects supported by The Rotary Club of Highlands.

Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Highlands bought and sold tickets, and volunteered at this year’s annual Duck Derby.

The Club looks forward to holding this event on July 4 next year.

The Club also offered a special thanks to all Rotarians who bought and sold tickets for this year’s event where 700-plus yellow ducks crossed the finish line.

Over 700 yellow ducks were dumped into Mill Creek for the annual Duck Derby.
