Highlands boys varsity soccer team wins against Cherokee on the road

The Highlanders varsity soccer team traveled to Cherokee on March 4 and took the win, 7-0.

“The boys played well, they played a good tough and physical game of soccer and came out on top,” said Highlands Coach Caleb Brown.

This is the second time Highlands has faced Cherokee, the first was on Feb. 24 at home and Highlands took the win ending with a final, 10-1.

“We started the game a little slow, but as soon as we fell into a rhythm, we started putting in goals,” Brown.

He added that Highlands played well at home against Cherokee, but there are always things to improve upon.
