Summit soccer team beats Murphy at home

Summit Middle School soccer team hosted Murphy on April 22 and took the win, 5-0.

Summit took the field without offensive powerhouse Anthony Qemali who injured his hamstring against Swain.

“I was proud of the team’s effort today,” said Summit Coach Jeremy Robinson. “We were playing without Qemali for the second straight game, and without him we have to have other players to step up to create chances. It was a great team effort.”

This continues Summit’s undefeated season and Robinson said the Summit Bears are putting in the work in at practice and it shows.

“We had a couple close games with Highlands, but we knew we’d have an opportunity to win a lot of games this season,” said Robinson. “I’m proud of the kids for competing, working as a team, and getting it done on the field.”
