Cashiers Quilters resume regularly scheduled activities

The Cashiers Quilters recently held their first formal business meeting since September 2019 and voted to revive its annual quilt show in conjunction with the 2021 Fall Leaf Festival.

The quilt show was postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic.

In addition to the show, there will be educational programs and a Carolina Shop Hop throughout the summer, as well as creating flannel lap blankets for area shut-ins at Christmas time.

The Cashiers Quilters are a group of full-time and seasonal residents with all levels of quilting expertise, from novice to advanced, who love to get together once a week, share their talents, learn from each other, and socialize.

The group gathers each Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church in Sapphire Valley and welcomes visitors and new members. Many members lunch beforehand at local restaurants.
