Inaugural Cashiers Festival of Trees to benefit Summit School and nonprofits

The Summit Charter School Foundation is excited to introduce the Cashiers Festival of Trees, a new fundraising event to benefit the school and nonprofits across the Cashiers-Highlands plateau.

The Cashiers Festival of Trees is a multi-day, family-friendly event featuring beautifully decorated trees, wreaths, décor items, children’s crafts, holiday performances, and activities.

The holiday event aims to bring together families, nonprofits, businesses, and individuals to celebrate the holiday season with one-of-a-kind shopping and fun programming for all ages.

The two-day Festival is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, and Saturday, Nov. 27 at the Summit Center, 370 Mitten Lane in Cashiers.

Tickets cost $5 for adults, $1 for ages 5-18, and children under 5 years old get in free.

While raising money for the school is the primary focus of the event, the SCS Foundation has decided to spread the holiday spirit of giving; when a nonprofit decorates a tree or wreath, 20% of the item’s sale goes back to the participating nonprofit, creating a collaborative initiative to benefit fellow charities and their causes. Supporting the entire community is important to SCS Foundation’s cause and the school’s overall mission.
