Middle School runners finish season at Tri-State Track Championship

Middle School athletes wrapped up their season at the Tri-State Track and Field Championships hosted by Rabun Gap Nacoochee in late April.

Schools competing at the Tri-State Track and Field Championships included Highlands, Summit, Rabun Gap, and Tallulah Falls.

Boys Teams results:

Tallulah Falls 1st

Highlands 2nd

Summit 3rd

Summit Coach Orlando Buck said five boys earning third out of four schools is a big win.

“Once again, these five gentlemen gave all they had while participating in their events,” said Buck. “They represented Summit Charter School well and deserve our congratulations for their efforts and being willing to try new events, even when they thought they couldn’t do something. I appreciate their perseverance on the field and am proud of their efforts.”

Buck added that Summit 8th-grader Wylie Hoffman took first in the 100 m hurdles scoring 17.48, which is the top score in Georgia for MS boys this year.
