Plateau runners compete at Tri-State track season opener

Highlands and Summit middle school track and field athletes traveled to Rabun Gap on March 27 to compete in the Tri-State season opener.

Both Highlands and Summit did not have enough racers to qualify as a team for many of the events, but several athletes from both schools had top 3 finishes or achieved personal records.

Other schools competing included Rabun Gap Nacoochee and Tallulah Falls.

The next Tri-State middle school track meet is today at 4 pm at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School.
