‘Meander in May’ returns to downtown Highlands

“Meander in May,” the free, self-guided arts festival organized by the Highlands Chamber of Commerce/Visit Highlands, NC returns Saturday, May 20. The annual event includes painting, woodworking and ceramics demonstrations along with performances by a myriad of bands and musicians.

The immersive arts experience begins at 11 a.m. and culminates with a free concert by The Boomers in Kelsey-Hutchinson Park from 6 – 8:30 p.m., part of the Chamber’s “Saturdays on Pine” Outdoor Concert Series.

“The musicians and artists are situated throughout downtown so our residents and visitors may watch, listen and engage, as well as indulge in other offerings such as dining and shopping along the way,” said Kaye McHan, executive director of the Highlands Chamber of Commerce/Visit Highlands, NC. “The event is a wonderful opportunity to showcase Western North Carolina’s robust arts culture.”
