Cashiers Valley Leaf Festival kicks off in October

Thousands of “leaf peepers” travel through the Cashiers area every October to enjoy the wonderful hues of red, orange, and yellow that signify the beginning of the fall season.

To celebrate this season, The Village Green holds the annual Cashiers Valley Leaf Festival.

This free three-day festival features 90 artisan vendors spread throughout The Village Green, from the Gazebo at the crossroads, to the Commons Lawn off of Frank Allen Rd.

The Leaf Festival runs from Oct. 6-8. The hours are 10am – 5pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10am – 3pm on Sunday.

Residents and visitors will find unique handcrafted wood, metal, pottery, jewelry, textile artists, soaps, fine art and much more on display and available for purchase throughout the weekend.

All products at the Cashiers Valley Leaf Festival are made by the artisan from start to finish making each product truly one-of-a-kind!

To add to the festivities, live music performances from local musicians will take place at the Gazebo on Saturday and Sunday. Elevated Kitchen Food Truck and Chili Chomper will be at the festival serving delicious food Friday through Sunday.

During the festival, The Village Green will be selling their 2023 hand-painted glass Christmas ornaments. They will be available for purchase at The Village Green’s tent all three days of the festival.

Additionally, on Friday, October 6th at 5:30pm, Ingles Markets will bring their Hometown Concert Series to The Village Green’s Commons Lawn for a fall concert. This event is free and open to the public and will feature musical performances from Commodore Fox, Joe Lasher Jr. and Kaitlyn Baker. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, food & beverage, and your dancing shoes for a fun evening of entertainment on the Commons Lawn.

The weekend will be filled with free family-friendly activities! The Village Green’s social media will be updated with all the happenings, so be sure to follow their Instagram and Facebook pages.
