The Blue Ridge Early College girls varsity basketball team hosted Nantahala on Dec. 15 and scored the first win of the season ending with a final of 50-32.

BREC Brooklynn Kenny drains a jump shot against the Asheville Trailblazers on Dec. 7 at home. The Lady Bobcats lost that game 56-35.
BREC Brooklyn Kenny rocked a double double scoring 38 points and snagging 17 rebounds. Kenny was also a recent winner of the poll vote Citizen Times Player of the Week.
So far this season Kenny is averaging 13 points per game (15th in 1-A West Region), 9.8 rebounds per game, and 3.9 steals per game.

The win against Nantahala puts the Lady Bobcats’ overall record at 1-9, but on the bright side they have a conference record of 1-0.
