Highlands MS boys win close game against Blue Ridge School

Highlands middle school boys basketball team hit the road on Jan. 17 to take on Blue Ridge School and took the win in a close game ending 39-36.

“It was close the entire game, and Tucker Wilson sank two free-throws with 2 seconds left to ice the win for Highlands,” said Highlands Coach Todd Sherwood.

Highlands’ leading scorer was Jayven Alvarado with 14 points, Wilson with 7, and Charlie Sherwood with 4 points, and 8 rebounds.

“This was an entire team effort that resulted in the win,” said Sherwood.
