Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western North Carolina was recently awarded a Platinum Award from BBBS of America for growing the number of children served in 2023.
BBBSWNC, headquartered in Asheville, serves the 18 counties of western NC, from Burke and Avery to Cherokee counties.
During its 41 years of service, it has helped thousands of young people identify and pursue their interests, improve their schoolwork and attendance, and get closer to their families and communities, all by matching them with caring, professionally supported adult mentors.
BBBSWNC is recruiting adults to be “Bigs” for wonderful “Littles” who are eager to explore larger worlds while having fun and receiving support.
