The Literacy & Learning Center (TL&LC) recently announced that enrollment is open for its free Pre-K program beginning Sept. 3.
This exciting new program offers high-quality early childhood education to children in the Highlands community.
TL&LC’s Pre-K program emphasizes a play-based learning approach, providing young learners with a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Led by experienced educator Carolyn Middlebrooks, who has over 30 years of experience in early childhood education, the program focuses on building a strong foundation for future academic success.
Children must turn four years old by January 2025 to be eligible for the program. Children from Highlands, Cashiers, and Franklin may attend. Enrollment is now open, and spaces are filling up. The program will run Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
“We are incredibly excited to offer this free Pre-K program to our community,” said Bonnie Potts, Executive Director at TL&LC. “We believe that all children deserve access to high-quality early education, and we are committed to providing that opportunity.”
TL&LC’s free Pre-K program is possible through generous community support and grants.
