Highlands Middle School girls basketball team loses to Summit Charter

Highlands Middle School girls basketball team were taught a lesson on Monday by Summit Charter School at the Cashiers/Glenville Recreation Center with a final score of 38-5.

Missed shots, botched passes, and turnover after turnover consistently hurt the Lady Highlanders and no matter what they tried they couldn’t plug the sinking ship to prevent the inevitable.

Summit Ezra Branham jukes Highlands Aislynn Luck. Editor’s Note: Aislynn Luck is one of the primary ball handlers for Highlands Middle School team. She is quick on her feet, excellent bringing up the ball, and a great playcaller. That being said, Ezra Branham completely ankle-breaker juked Luck at the top of the key. I’m surprised I captured this on camera because I did not see the cross-over coming, it was impressive.
