Highlands boys varsity basketball team takes down Murphy

Highlands boys varsity basketball team beat Murphy on Wednesday at home with a final score of 57-40.

Highlands plays Blue Ridge tonight at home following the girls varsity game and it is the last home game of the regular season. It is also Senior Night and Highlands senior athletes will be recognized between the girls and boys varsity games and county league youth players will be recognized at halftime of the varsity boys game.

Highlands Hunter Collins goes for the dunk against Murphy on Wednesday. Highlands won 57-40. Editor’s Note: Collins attempted the dunk after receiving a pass from a teammate, taking one step and going for it. It was not a fast break and his attempt happened to hit the back of the rim and bounce out.
