Highlands celebrated Senior Night on Tuesday after a loss to Hayesville at home.
“Going into the first half we were tied with Hayesville one to one,” said Brown. “During the decond half we were just gassed, which resulted on Hayesville putting some great plays together from the midfield forward and scoring three goals to put us away.”
After the loss, the crowd gathered on a wet field and recognized Midfielder/Goal Keeper Bill Miller, Center Back Pablo Jimenez, Center Back Dillon Schmitt, Center Midfielder Carlos May Gomez, and Left Back Patrick Woods.

“Looking forward into next season, we will have some rebuilding to do when it comes to our defensive line,” said Brown. “We have a great amount of players returning in both the midfield as well as up top at striker. We have some current freshmen who are eager to get more playing time on the back line at defense. We should be able to build a strong team next season with the players that we have.”
