Highlands MS boys basketball team beats Nantahala in season opener

Highlands Middle School boys basketball team hit the court and represented at home on Tuesday beating Nantahala 53-9.

Highlands Coach Seth Wilson said they played well considering they only had two weeks of practice before the first official game of the season.

“We got a lot to work on, but it’s early in the season,” said Wilson. “We’ve got a good mix of new players and veterans, and they’re getting better every time we practice.”

He added that top priorities include working on teamwork, ball movement and seeing the court.
