Highlands Middle School boys basketball team took on Summit Charter on Monday at the new Summit Center and walked away with the win 35-24.
Highlands Coach Lester Norris said the Highlanders got the job done, but have a lot of work to do.
“We moved the ball decently but overall were very sloppy,” said Norris. “Needless to say, we have a lot to work on at practice tomorrow to get ready for Blue Ridge on Wednesday.”
Summit Coach Jeremy Robinson said the Bears gave it their all on the court against Highlands.
“The boys played hard,” said Robinson. “I was proud of the way they competed until the end. We have some things to work on, but it’s early in the season and our best basketball is in front of us.”
Highlands next plays at 4 p.m. today on the road against Blue Ridge.
