Highlands boys varsity basketball team loses tough game against Hayesville

The Highlanders boys varsity basketball team took on the Hayesville Yellow Jackets on Monday at home and lost a close game 57-50.

Highlands Coach Brett Lamb said they did well, especially after losing by 20 points the last time they played against Hayesville.

“We got beat up pretty bad last time we played, and this time we took it down to the wire,” said Lamb. “But we lost sight of things defensively and they kept making free throws.”

Hayesville made 14-18 free throws.
