Among the hauntingly beautiful mountains of the Southern Appalachians, nestled only steps away from downtown Highlands, is the historic Kelsey Trail.
Built over a century ago by one of the town’s founders as a path to Whiteside Mountain, the remnants of this popular trail are now protected by Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust and open to the public.
