McCall and Dean family thank community for support

On behalf of the Barbara Dean and Theda McCall family, I would like to express our most sincere appreciation for the kindness and generosity of this entire community.  Words cannot express the compassion and support that we have felt during this extremely difficult time.

To each person who called or messaged, sent a card or donation, or said a prayer (and in many cases multiple prayers), we would like to say thank you.  Barbara and Theda have been residents of Cashiers since birth, and we know that this accident impacted the lives of everyone who knows our family.

Barbara remains in Jacksonville, FL where she is undergoing intensive rehabilitation daily.  She has had two surgeries to date, and she will be having at least one more before she is released and ready to return home.  If you would like to contact Barbara, her mailing address is:

Theda will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Her smile, her ever-positive attitude, her laugh, the way she loved (especially her family), her generosity and selflessness, and the light with which she shone are forever engraved in memories of her.  Junior and Kristy greatly appreciate all of your condolences.  Our loss is indescribable and almost unbearable.  We find peace in knowing that she was ready even though we were not ready to let her go.

Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers in the coming months.  We have felt your support, encouragement, and love every day since March 21st, and we can never express how much each of you has meant to us.

Sincerely,
Buddy Dean
