Representatives of the new Blue Ridge Health primary clinic (including appearance by one of the new doctors); Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation; Highlands Cashiers Hospital; and, Mountain Area Health Education will be on hand at a community health and wellness forum from 5:30-7 p.m. on Aug. 12 at The Village Green Commons.

This is a public meeting hosted by the Cashiers Area Chamber to provide information about the Plateau’s new primary care facility, expanded hospital services, community health initiatives and doctor recruitment, including an opportunity to meet Dr. Ann Davis of Blue Ridge Health – Highlands Cashiers, conveniently located on the hospital campus on US 64 West.

“This is the first time leadership representatives of all four of major providers will be together in a public forum to address healthcare and access to healthcare on the Plateau.  As one of the major considerations of quality of life in our community, these new and continuing health and wellness initiatives by these critical organizations are of utmost concern to residents, businesses, and visitors to the Cashiers Highlands Area.,” said Stephanie Edwards, Executive Director of host Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce.

This Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce event is part of its continuing commitment to serve as an Information Source for our community.

The meeting is open to the public and will also be livestreamed on the Chamber’s YouTube channel.
