Scaly Mountain Pancake Breakfast on Aug. 14

The Scaly Mountain Community Association is once again partnering with the Scaly Mountain Women’s Club for their 2nd Pancake Breakfast from 8-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Scaly Mountain Fire & Rescue Station on Hale Ridge Road off Hwy 106 in Scaly Mountain.

Plain and Blueberry Pancakes, Blaylock Sausage, Orange Juice, Reg & Decaf Coffee and good community conversation regarding what’s being developed in Scaly Mountain is on the menu.

Pancake chefs make sure the consistency of the blueberry to pancake ratio is just right.

Cost is $6 per person and $20 for family of 4 or more.

Take-out is available.

Volunteers cooked pancakes and sausage, served drinks, and bussed tables at the first Scaly Mountain Pancake Breakfast of the year. Pictured above are Volunteers Howie, Amy, and Susan.

The Women’s Club will have a table set up for donations for their scholarships for local high school seniors who require financial aid for college and for those college students already in the system.

Applications will be available for those local students interested in applying for scholarships.
