Vaccine shots available on the Plateau

New vaccine clinics in Highlands

In the coming week there will be two new opportunities on the Plateau to receive a vaccination.

There will be a clinic from 2-5:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 9 with Pfizer and J&J vaccines at the Highlands Food Pantry at the Highlands United Methodist Church open to all by appointment. The Community Care Clinic (CCC) has organized an evening clinic scheduled from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12 at the CCC’s parking lot next to the ball field on Buck Creek Road. The clinic is by appointment, open to all, and was also organized by the IFC and Vecinos. They will have Pfizer and J&J vaccines. Appointments are available for Pfizer, Moderna and J&J vaccines at Cashiers Valley Pharmacy from Tuesday-Saturday for adults and teens. Pfizer is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Call 828.526.1310 for appointments.

Ingles in Cashiers is administering Moderna vaccine and accepts walk-ins.

Both the call center and campaign are a result of the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau COVID-19 Vaccine Initiative (HCPCVI).
