Highlands girls JV basketball team scrapes together a win against East Henderson

It wasn’t the prettiest win for Highlands girls junior varsity basketball team, but Head Coach Jake Page said he’ll take it. Highlands defeated East Henderson on Dec. 17 with a final score of 40-18.

“It was a little sloppy, but an ugly win is better than a good loss,” said Page.

He added that they had trouble following-through on shots.

“We played hard, but we couldn’t finish our shots at the rim,” said Page. “Either way, that’s the way you want the game to end.”

Highlands Savannah Shaheen is ready to spring into action and box-out anyone between her and the ball in case the free throw doesn’t drop.
