Highlands School hosts 4th annual Color Run

Runners from all over the Plateau gathered at Highlands School on Saturday for the 4th-annual Color Run to raise money for prom and graduation expenses, said event organizer Gina Billingsley.

“Each student is asked to sign up five participants,” said Billingsley. “The 8 class sponsors volunteer for the event, plus we have parents that assist with directing runners on the road and working the water station along the route. Without the volunteers, we could not host the event, so we appreciate all those that sign up to volunteer along with everyone that pays to run/walk. Highlands Police Department leads the race and this year, Highlands Fire & Rescue took care of traffic control on Horse Cove.”
