Highlands High School Field Day 2019

Last month at the end of testing Highlands High School students spent the afternoon signing yearbooks, and cutting loose at the end of the school year.

Students spent a sunny day on the field relaxing and taking it easy after the school year. Pictured above is Jeff Olvera dribbling the ball while students sign yearbooks on the track. Later, in the photo gallery, Olvera tries to kick the ball wearing simulated .25 BAC goggles, it doesn’t go well…

Highlands Police Department helps create awareness of the dangers of drunk driving and lets students operate a vehicle (heavily supervised) while wearing goggles that simulate impairment. Above Logan Houston gives it a try.

There were a variety of games taking place throughout the field inside Highlands School track at Field Day 2019.

From left are Highlands Teachers Brian Alusio and David Parrish cranking out some wicked jams throughout the day.

Editor’s Note: I don’t know how this guy got in there.

It was a perfect Plateau day with easy breezy temperatures and lots of sunshine as highlands students hung out on the track.

Nothing like chatting about your last test while wearing simulated impairment goggles.

Editor’s Note: You didn’t see last year’s Field Day? No worries, Plateau Daily News was there.
