Highlands junior varsity volleyball team lost in a clean sweep to Smoky Mountain on Thursday at home losing 2-0.
The Lady Highlanders next play rival Blue Ridge Early College at 5 p.m. on Sept. 9 at home.
Spirits were high throughout the two sets against Smoky Mountain but Highlands couldn’t pull off the win.
