Blue Ridge Middle School volleyball team hit the court against Fairview and took the match 2-0.
“I think they played very well,” said Coach Pollyanna Ballentine. “They gave incredible effort and even when they got frustrated with themselves, they didn’t give up.”
The win wasn’t handed to them and Fairview made the Lady Bobcats earn it, especially in the first set with a final of 28-26.
“I believe the best thing they did out there today was push through, and give it their all,” said Ballentine.
Blue Ridge has a 2-1 record and Ballentine is happy with the improvement she’s seeing.
“They are an incredible group of girls and we are so proud of them,” said Ballentine.
Blue Ridge next plays at 4 p.m. on Sept. 12 away against Cullowhee.
