Summit girls high school volleyball team wrapped up their season last month after scoring a win against Shining Rock with a final of 3-0.

Summit Coach Samantha Robinson said she is proud of the team’s growth throughout the season.
“As a whole, we became more consistent on our serves as well as our hits,” she said. “The girls started to gain confidence and worked well as a team.”

Summit won’t be losing any seniors next year and Robinson said she hopes to continue to improve on what the girls have built.
“I’m excited about next season, I think our record will definitely improve as it has over the past 2 years that I’ve been coaching,” she said.

The Lady Bears finished the season with a 3-5 record, but Robinson said the girls are working hard to turn that around next year.
“After another summer of workouts and our returning team I have full confidence that we will have more wins than losses next season,” she said. “I’m very proud of our girls!”
